Featured Venue – Magnolia Plantation

Magnolia Plantation is one of the most beautiful and historic gardens in the country, and we’re lucky enough to only be 3 1/2 miles down the road! The gardens are hundreds of years old, and you can truly feel the charm of the South as soon as you make it onto their lush grounds. Ancient oak trees dripping in Spanish moss make for the most beautiful backdrop for every romantic wedding setting, and we love the variety and personality that each of the three venues inside the plantation have to offer.

The Veranda is likely the most iconic venue at Magnolia, as it once stood as the home of the plantation owners way back when. It’s open to the public during the day, so it’s always recommended that our brides start their ceremonies a bit later to allow for privacy and a bit more time for set up. Once the space is transformed into a wedding reception, it truly could not be more stunning! Guests sit up on the wrap around porch, overlooking the florals, live oaks, and beautiful natural landscape.

The Conservatory is an amazing venue for smaller, intimate receptions. Walking inside, guests are transported into the rainforest setting, surrounded by exotic plants and flowers. The venue opens up to an open air deck, perfect for dancing and cocktails!

The Carriage House, by far, is the venue we at B. Gourmet Catering work at the most! We love the romantic beams and high ceilings, not to mention the air conditioning is crucial during the warmer months! This venue is tucked away at the back of the Plantation, surrounded by ancient oak trees and complimented by breathtaking views of the Ashley River.
