It’s no surprise with accolades such as Most Romantic City and Best City in the World, that Charleston, SC has become a hot spot for destination weddings. Hosting more than 5,000 weddings last year Charleston is packed with amazing spots to say “I do”.
From historic downtown homes, the beach, lush plantations and more, we here at B. Gourmet feel pretty lucky to call these venues our office when your special day arrives. We could go on for days about every place in town, but for now we’ve rounded up just a few of our favorites.
The Island House
At first glance one may think they’re about to be whisked away by boat. The island house is nestled behind one of Johns Island’s marinas, opening open to beautiful ocean river views. A grand home sits on the property with a permanent tent gracing the back lawn and overlooking the water. The Island House is the perfect venue for a waterfront wedding without the sandy mess!
Haborside East

Harborside East features an elegant ballroom atmosphere with the views to match. Upon stepping outside to the terrace you’ll be greeted by the Cooper River, Charleston’s downtown and skyline and the infamous Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.
Magnolia Plantation & Gardens

Old Wide Awake Plantation
Located just outside of Charleston in Hollywood SC, Old Wide Awake Plantation has been entertaining for hundreds of years. Now serving as a popular wedding venue, this charming, family-owned plantation home has seen a lot of change since first operating as a convenience store in the 1800s.
Tip: Take a short walk down to Wide Awake Park for beautiful views of grand oak trees and the Stono River.
